At the initiative of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré Committee, the “Winter Time 2015” evening was held on November 26, 2015.
For the inauguration of the Christmas lights, and the launch of its prestigious Winter Time 2015 Tombola, the Faubourg Saint-Honoré Committee wanted to join forces this year with two associations: “Les Toiles Enchantées” and “Paris Aide aux Victimes”.

The event

The launch of the Illuminations took place in the presence of Pascal Elbé, Ambassador of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré Committee, Amanda Sthers, patron of the association Les Toiles Enchantées, Benjamin Cymerman, President of the Committee, the mayor of the 8th arrondissement, Jeanne d’Hauteserre, Gisèle Tsobanian, President of Toiles Enchantées, Claude Lienhard, President of Paris Aide aux Victimes, and many personalities, including Sandrine Quétier, Laurie Cholewa, chef Jean-François Piège, and Laetitia Fourcade. The kick-off took place at 7 p.m., in front of the Hôtel Le Bristol Paris.

The Faubourg Saint-Honoré donned its lights to celebrate the end-of-year celebrations; this year a dozen Baccarat crystal chandeliers were placed along the streets, creating an exceptional route punctuated by a thousand lights.

The raffle

On this occasion, the Committee is organizing a prestigious raffle, with all proceeds going to the two associations: “Les Toiles Enchantées” and “Paris Aide aux Victimes”.

Each Maison du Comité du Faubourg Saint-Honoré has offered an exceptional prize to be discovered on the website dedicated to the event: www.wintertime2015.com. Participants in the raffle will be able to purchase a ticket worth €10 until January 31 and hope to win one of these sumptuous gifts.

The raffle draw will take place at the end of January 2015.

Sponsors of the event

Pascal Elbé honoured us with his presence for the kick-off of the Christmas lights. This multi-talented actor is taking on the role of Ambassador for the Committee this year; a role to which he brings his charm and elegance.

Starring in the new TF1 series, Une chance de trop, alongside Alexandra Lamy, he is returning to directing with his second film, Je compte sur vous, which brings together Julie Gayet, Vincent Elbaz and Zabou Breitman.

Amanda Sthers, writer, director and children’s author, patron of the association Les Toiles Enchantées, wanted to give her full support to the operation of the Tombola Winter Time 2015.

In 2014, she adapted Les Terres Saintes which will be brought to the screen by the Canadian director Louise Archambault (Gabrielle) next autumn.

Madame will be her second feature film as director: filming will take place in 2016 with Patrick Bruel.

The associations

The Association “Les Toiles Enchantées” carries out support action in hospitals for sick children and in specialized establishments for disabled adolescents in order to bring them dreams through the setting up of screenings of the films on display.

“Paris Aide aux Victimes” (PAV) is an association for helping victims in Paris created in 1989. Its mission is to provide guidance, listening, reception and psychological support for all victims of criminal offences, accidents and collective disasters in Paris.

Currently, a team of psychologists and lawyers is mobilized to welcome victims of the attacks: psychological support, information on their rights and assistance in their procedures.

This is support that requires taking the time to listen to people in order to respond to their needs. The easing of their suffering can only be achieved at the cost of collective solidarity.
