The Faubourg Saint-Honoré celebrated the arrival of summer in style during the Summer Time 2015, which was held on Thursday, June 11, 2015. A prestigious and unique event, organized by the Faubourg Saint-Honoré Committee, chaired by Benjamin Cymerman, which this year put Great Britain in the spotlight. The evening took place under the High Patronage of His Excellency Sir Peter Ricketts, Ambassador of Great Britain to France, and in the presence of the Mayor of the 8th arrondissement, Madame Jeanne d’Hauteserre.

For the occasion, the entire Faubourg Saint-Honoré switched to English time! The chic spirit of “Swinging London” took over the district, which was exceptionally pedestrianized; Triumph, Jaguar, Lotus, Austin Healey, Bentley, Aston Martin, Rolls Roy: the most beautiful English automobiles lined the route, to the great delight of passers-by and guests of each participating Maison.

The Faubourg Saint-Honoré was redecorated in the colors of Great Britain: pennants and Union Jack flags in the streets and on the windows, red English double-decker buses, London taxis, telephone boxes… set the scene. Golf clubs and mini driving ranges were available to try out this very British sport!

Last but not least, costumed extras roamed the streets, portraying iconic figures from England: royal guards, policemen, gentlemen in suits and bowler hats… and even a lookalike of the Queen of England!
DJ Jean Croc, installed in one of the double-decker buses, got the party going with a special UK playlist.
